The Video Interview Process

Interview-based videos are a great option for corporate clients who are looking for brand video production. Before we go into the details of the video interview process, take a look at some examples of videos that we have created in this style:

As you can see, each video in this category typically includes interviews, supporting b-roll footage (this is similar to an action shot), music and basic graphics. This type of video is great for client testimonials, telling your brand story through key personal statements, and educational content.

Pre-Production – The Most Important Step! 

One of the most common questions we get asked is – how much will this cost? During the first stage of the video interview process, we will meet to discuss some of the different factors that will determine the final cost of your project.

Some of the cost factors for interview videos include:

  • Equipment – What types of equipment are needed? Do you need any specialty items such as drones or a green screen, etc.?
  • Location – Do you have a location in mind? Do you need help finding a location?
  • Script – Do you need help writing questions for the interview?
  • Graphics – What kind of graphics are you looking for? Do we need to purchase any stock footage?
  • Production time – How long/how many days are needed?
  • Deliverable – What is the desired length of the final video? Are there any other edits in mind?

After going over all of the above factors (and maybe a few more), we will have a better understanding of your needs for the project, and we can send over your customized proposal. We then will set up a call to walk you through your proposal step-by-step before beginning the video interview process.

Brand Video Production – What Will This Look Like? 

We’ve had conversations to go over every detail of the project, you’ve agreed to our proposal, we have a date, time and location set up. So, now what?

Here’s what you can expect during the filming day(s):

  • Before the shoot, we will send a ‘call time sheet’ which will lay out our filming schedule, who is interviewing when, a b-roll shot list, etc.
  • Our team will arrive at the agreed-upon location to unload and set up our equipment. Testimonial shoots typically require 1-2 hours to set up depending on the required equipment.
  • Once we are all set up, we will begin production! Once we wrap up filming, we will need about an hour to teardown before we depart.

Finally, we will move into the last stage of the video interview process, post-production!

Post-Production – A Continued Partnership

The post-brand video production process plays a huge role in the success of your video. Our editors will spend time creating graphics and piecing everything together to properly tell your brand’s story. Once we have a draft ready, we will send the video over for your approval. Plus, if something didn’t come out quite as you imagined, we are always happy to work with you to revise it!

Once everything is finalized, your video will be ready to publish!
